RGH Development Co. was started in the 1972 by Bob Hume. A native of Maplewood, NJ, Bob has been serving happy clients in the area since he was a teenager. Now, with many years of experience, Bob has helped shape and build Essex, Morris, Union, and Somerset Counties.
RGH Development Co. currently employs a highly qualified team of professionals. We have a large assortment of highly skilled professionals that have specific focuses and trades. Finding and retaining this talent lead RGH Development Co. to the successful company that it is now.
Bill has been with the company since 2003. He has completed many successful construction projects. His ability to communicate with the homeowner and manage projects to completion have created a long list of satisfied customers.
Paul is a second-generation residential builder whose family has constructed and renovated homes for over 20 years. He works directly with clients during the home building or renovation process, serving as the liaison between the office and the jobsite from start to finish. He is very passionate about his work and takes a personal interest in every job.
What separates us from other construction companies in the area is that we have Mark! Mark is our office manager who coordinates daily tasks with project managers in the field. Mark joined our team in 2005 and immediately became a key member of the organization. There is always someone in the office to handle any issues or concerns.

Bob first entered the construction industry in his early high school years. He started off cleaning and then painting construction sites. After school Bob worked in the health industry, but continued to do smaller construction projects on the side. In 2013 Bob decided to return to RGH and fulfill his passion for construction.

RGH did such a great job performing a three year phased renovation on his home in Maplewood, Matt decided to join the team. He has a Master’s degree in Environmental Health Engineering, a USCG Master 50 ton license and over 30 years’ experience in industrial hygiene and safety. Captain Matt serves as our Government Contracts Manager where he identifies public contracting opportunities, readies bids for submission and liaises with contracting officers during completion of the work.
